Write to us if a firm’s page is wrong, a firm is missing or you manage a firm’s page. We cannot give legal advice.
Something is out of date
Has a firm moved, changed its number or office hours, dropped a type of work or closed? Send the firm’s name and city to info@solicitorsguide.uk and we will correct the page.
Suggest a firm
If a solicitors’ firm belongs on one of our lists, tell us its name, where it is and what area of law it practises in. We weigh it as we weigh every other firm, using the method on the “How we select” page.
Managing a firm’s page
Every page has a “For solicitors” link that opens the area for firms. From there you can claim your firm’s page at no cost, keep its areas of work, hours and description right, look at the Pro and Top plans, or put forward a firm that is not listed yet.
No legal advice from us
Nobody here is a solicitor. We cannot say if you have a claim, what it might be worth, how long you have to act or which firm to instruct, and we do not forward enquiries to firms. Do not put details of your case in your message, and do not attach documents. In an emergency, call 999. Citizens Advice offers free general guidance on legal problems.
Complaining about a solicitor
We have no power to investigate a complaint about any firm on the site. The first step is the firm’s own complaints procedure. After that, people in England and Wales can take poor service to the Legal Ombudsman and worries about conduct to the Solicitors Regulation Authority. In Scotland the Scottish Legal Complaints Commission looks at service complaints and hands conduct complaints to the Law Society of Scotland. In Northern Ireland complaints go to the Law Society of Northern Ireland, with the Lay Observer, who also acts as Legal Services Oversight Commissioner, as the last stage.
